A Place to Grow
Beyond academics, the faculty and staff at Trinity Catholic are dedicated to helping students reach their highest potential as people. A Trinity education would not be complete if students were not encouraged to develop a total Christian outlook. Teachers, administrators, and parents share the common goal of helping students to become educated, mature Christians. At Trinity, students and staff have the opportunity to regularly join in prayer, worship, and the celebration of liturgies.
A Place to Excel
Competitive excellence takes many forms at Trinity. Our students win honors in the classroom, in scholastic competitions, and in athletics. They compete successfully in Math, Language, Science and Social Studies Fairs. Our rich athletic heritage has produced more than its share of athletes who have successfully competed on High School and College teams. Our Athletic program includes boys' and girls' basketball, volleyball, and soccer. Kindergarten students are able to participate in the Kiwanis' swimming program.
A Place to Belong
Trinity Catholic offers competitive and social opportunities that help students develop friendships that last a lifetime. In addition to our curriculum, various activities and leadership opportunities are available to our students such as Student Council, Spelling Bee, St. Jude Math-A-Thon, Honors Assemblies, Special Seasonal Programs, Field Days, Tutoring programs, Jr. Beta, 4-H, Math and Builders Clubs. There are also several extra curricular activities and an Athletic Program for girls and boys in grades 4-8.
Some of the special days throughout the school year are: Meet the Teacher Day, Parents Night in the Classroom, Blessing of the Pets, Catholic Schools Week, Louisiana Week, Black History Month, International Education Week, Parents, Community, and Grandparents' Days. Students also attend several educational field trips for each grade throughout the year.
Students at each campus attend school Masses twice a month on Friday mornings at 8:15 AM, and both campuses come together for Mass to celebrate special days such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, etc. Throughout the school year, each of the classes take turns planning and participating in the liturgy.
Tradition is the Difference
The Trinity Catholic tradition offers students a place to gain strength through knowledge, a place to grow spiritually, a place to excel in a variety of activities, and a place for every student to
belong. Belonging to the Trinity family also means joining another "Class of..." graduates and competing effectively in the world beyond elementary school. Trinity is a place for the mind, body, and spirit to flourish. It is more than a place to learn; it is a place to learn how to live.
Tradition wears many faces at Trinity Catholic School. It is smiling faces on the playground at recess; intense faces on the basketball court during a game; and earnest faces filling the classrooms and halls. All these faces are provided an opportunity to grow academically, spiritually, emotionally, and physically in the spirit of the Trinity Catholic tradition.
A Place to Learn
Strong academics are indeed a Trinity tradition. One look at the numbers confirms that statement because 95% of Trinity students seek higher education. Our outstanding curriculum is diverse enough to allow students to challenge themselves, and our student-to-faculty ratio allows our teachers time to take a personal interest in each student's progress. Trinity Catholic is a member of the National Catholic Education Association, the Association for Curriculum and Development, and is approved by the Louisiana State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education. In order to maintain our high standards, Trinity has incorporated technology in all areas of learning. Our graduates will find themselves well equipped in furthering their education.
